Description

Vladimir is the son of the Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero.  He signed as a free agent with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015 at the age of 16.  He would spend 3 years in the minors before making his debut in 2019.  He would make the All-Star break by being selected to the Homerun Derby; he would finish second to Pete Alonso.  He would bat .272/.339/.433 with 15 home runs and 69 RBI in 464 at bats.  He hit 33 homeruns in 2020 and batted .262.  In 2021 he finished second in AL MVP voting to Shohei Ohtani.  He tied Salvador Perez with 48 homeruns and led in runs scored (123) and led the majors in total bases (363) for the American League.  He signed an extension on March 22, 2022, to avoid arbitration and hit his 100th career homerun on September 14, 2022.  This guy is a stud and time will tell if he wins the MVP award and a World Series.
