Kenny Pickett was selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He played collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh.  He threw for 12.303 yards, 81 touchdowns, 32 interceptions while at Pitt.  He also rushed for 801 yards with 20 touchdowns.  He was the latest first-round quarterback selected since 1997 and the highest quarterback selection for the Steelers since 2004 (Ben Roethlisberger).  His selection was announced by Hall of Famer Franco Harris, prior to Harris’s untimely death on December 20, 2022.  He has posted a 7-5 record as a starter in both of his NFL seasons.  He has been relegated to the number 2 QB on the Steelers depth chart.  He has seen a few injuries in his young career that has not allowed him to put up the numbers the critics are expecting to see.  He has 13 passing touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his two seasons in the league.  Only time will tell if he blossoms into the heir apparent for the Steelers.  This would be a great addition to any collection.
