During the 2020 NFL Draft, Hopkins would be traded to the Arizona Cardinals with a fourth-round pick for running back David Boston, a 2020 second round pick and 2021 fourth round pick. Hopkins would become the youngest player to reach 700 career catches in his career on November 19th, 2020. His teammate Larry Fitzgerald was the previous title holder. In 2021, Hopkins would get his revenge on the Texas for the trade from the previous year. On October 24th, 2021, Arizona would face Houston, the Cardinals with Hopkins seven catches, 53 yards and touchdown would hand Houston their 8th straight loss, while the Cardinals would go to 7-0.
