He amassed 1,302 receiving yards on 89 catches with 8 touchdowns during his time at Cal. He also played college basketball while at Cal. He would be drafted in 1997 by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 13th selection. He would play for the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008 and the Atlanta Falcons from 2009 to 2013, when he retired from the NFL. He would be selected to 14 Pro Bowls, set numerous NFL and KC Chiefs team records. He would be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019. During his career, he appeared in 270 of 272 games and only lost two fumbles in his career. He is considered the best tight end to ever play the game. He has gone into acting and has had stints as a sports broadcaster for the NFL, he will be the studio analyst for Amazon for Thursday Night Football beginning the 2022 season.
