This item was given the grade of 80 or Near Mint by Action Figure Authority. Batman was the creation by Bob Kane in 1939. His first appearance was in the 27th issue of Detective Comics issued on March 30, 1939. Batman is the “Dark Knight” protector of Gotham City. His real identity is Bruce Wayne. His parents were murdered in front of him as a child. He was raised by his butler, Alfred Pennyworth. The Batman character is a brooding, wealthy and technological hero. He has had several sidekicks with different mantles. He has several archenemies such as the Joker, the Penguin, the Scarecrow, and Mr. Freeze to name a few. This item would look great in any Batman of DC collection, and the Canadian version from 1977 makes this Batman extra rare.
