Description

Fournette played college ball at LSU from 2014-2016.  During his sophomore season at LSU, he led the nation in rushing yards per game with 162.8 ypg.  He also posted single season rushing records for yards (1,953) and touchdowns (22) which garnered him a consensus All-America selection.  He would be the 4th overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He would rush for 1,040 yards in his rookie season.  He would set his career best for rushing yards two seasons later with 1,152 yards in 15 games played.  He would be released by the Jaguars after the 2019 season and signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to the 2020 season.  He would be a lynchpin in the Buccaneers Super Bowl LV win that year over the Kansas City Chiefs.  He resigned with Tampa Bay for the 2021 season.  He also signed his current three-year contract to stay with the Buccaneers on March 23, 2022.
