Description

Deebo played collegiately at South Carolina from 2014 to 2018.  He would redshirt in 2014.  In 2015, he would see limited playing time due to injuries.  In 2016, he would lead the team in receiving yards and would help the team to the 2016 Birmingham Bowl, that they would lose USF.  In 2017, he would play in three games due to injury.  In 2018, he would post his best statistical season with 882 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.  He would choose not to play in the 2018 Belk Bowl but would elect to play in the 2018 Senior Bowl.  He would be selected with the 36th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers.  He would post decent numbers as a rookie while helping the 49ers to Super Bowl LIV against the Chiefs, in the loss he posted the most rushing yards by a wide receiver in Super Bowl history with 53 yards.  He would miss the majority of the 2020 season to covid and non-football related injuries.  He would help the 49ers to the playoffs in 2021.  They would defeat the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round 23-17. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2021.  Time will tell if he can be the heir apparent to Jerry Rice.  This would be a great addition to any 49ers fan’s collection.
